Privacy Policy

Welcome to Gweiloguide with Mr. Greg. I value your privacy almost as much as I value a seat on the MTR during rush hour. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your information when you visit https://www.gweiloguide.com.

By using this site, you’re agreeing to the terms laid out below. Don’t worry, I’ve kept the legalese to a minimum so it’s actually readable.

1. Information I Collect

I only collect information that helps me make your experience in the 852 better. This falls into two categories:

  • Information You Give Me: If you sign up for the “Weekend Warrior” newsletter or send me a question via the contact form, I’ll have your name and email address.
  • Information Collected Automatically: Like most sites in 2026, I use cookies and similar tech to see which articles you’re reading. This includes your IP address, browser type, and how long you spent reading about why Hong Kong taxis are a nightmare.

2. How I Use Your Information

I’m not in the business of selling your data to random telemarketers in North Point. I use your info to:

  • Send you the latest insider tips and guides.
  • Improve the website layout (so you can find the “Food Apps” guide faster).
  • Respond to your burning questions about moving to Lamma or finding a short-term flat.

3. Cookies & Tracking

I use cookies to remember your preferences. You can turn them off in your browser settings, but just like trying to navigate Mong Kok without a map, the site might not work as smoothly as it should.

4. Third-Party Links

My articles often link to the best food apps, moving companies, or ferry schedules. Once you click those links and leave Gweiloguide, I don’t have control over their privacy practices. Be sure to check their policies—especially if you’re entering credit card info for a 2026 taxi app!

5. Data Security

I use industry-standard security measures to keep your data safe. However, the internet is a wild place. While I do my best to protect your info, I can’t guarantee 100% security (no one can, not even the guys at HSBC).

6. Your Rights

In line with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data I have on you.
  • Ask me to delete your information (unsubscribe).
  • Correct any info that is outdated or wrong.

7. Changes to This Policy

As Hong Kong evolves, so might this policy. If I make big changes, I’ll post a notice on the home page or send you an email. Check back here occasionally to stay in the loop.

8. Contact Mr. Greg
